With COVID-19 still on the loose, lots of us have decided to stay in their home country and visit places not too far away from home. If you are looking for glamping ideas in the Netherlands, I can guarantee you a unique and authentic holiday experience.

You can choose between cottages and cabins, tents and yurts, treehouses and boats to rent for the glamping trip of your lifetime.

For anyone looking to get away from the daily hustle and bustle, look no further than these top 10 best glamping Netherlands sites.

Surf Bus

This 7 meter long Mercedes bus is located in Boerencamping Natuurlijk Genoegen in Driehuizen. Ideally located in the middle of nature but still close to North Sea Beach and center of Amsterdam for day trips. 

Equipped with everything you need the Surf Bus is a great choice for your glamping getaway. You can enjoy your time in the hammock or go kayaking and cycling nearby.

Texel Yurts

Texel Yurts are a part of the camping area situated in the heart of the National Park Dunes of Texel near the traditional pilot-boat village of Den Hoorn. All of the yurts are fully equipped and can accommodate up to 6 people. 

During your stay you can experience the amazing birdlife on Texel, go on a beachcombing guided tour on the beach of ‘de Hors’ and visit Novalishoeve, an organic community farm selling fresh homemade products. 

Zon Zee Strand

Situated in the middle of a nature reserve in the recreational area Het Zwanenwater and only 10 minutes walking distance from the beach, Zon Zee Strand offers various types of glamping accommodation in safari tents, tipis and lodges.

When staying at Zon Zee Strand you will have access to a fully equipped kitchen, a wood stove, an outdoor shower and a spacious deck with a seating area. This site is great if you want to explore the Callantsoog area by bike and enjoy the fresh sea wind and the beautiful views. 

House Boat

Are you looking to spend the night on the water? Then no look further than this house boat set set in Goëngahuizen. The house boat has a private garden, sauna, water sports facilities and a BBQ. It features 3 bedrooms for up to 6 guests, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom.

Forest Glamping

Forest Glamping or “For-rest Glamp” is an adults only glamping site located in Rekken. The site has different accommodations including yurts, a typical Dutch “beddestee” and a luxury glamping house with a bathroom. 

On site you can find a food court, a wellness area, BBQ and a shop. You can also rent e-bikes, e-scooters and e-crossers to explore the surrounding areas.

Tijdloos

The festival organisation has transformed the festival Ermerstrand in Erm (Drenthe) into a glamping site. If you are looking for a luxury camping getaway located in the northeast of Netherlands surrounded by lakes, islands and forests, this is a spot for you.

You can choose between tents, tipis, caravans or even bring your own campervan. This glamping site has a beach and offers plenty of activities such as yoga, waterskiing, supping and even a music program. 

Kallumaan

Kallumaan is a pop-up glamping site opened for guests during July and August each year. The site hosts Wildeburg Festival and is located at Netl de Wildste Tuin. 

The site is surrounded by wild nature and has access to the lake with a beach, children’s playgrounds and swimming pool. You can choose between romantic huts, tipis and safari tents. 

While staying there you can relax in different bars and mobile restaurants on-site or get into some activities, such as hiking, swimming or cycling. 

Landgoed Ottermeer

Landgoed Ottermeer is a truly unique glamping site located in Brabant. Owners Frans and Yvonne have bought an old farm with 20 hectares of land, planted 50,000 trees and developed a nature reserve. The glamping site is located in the middle of this natural paradise. 

The site offers different accommodation such as gypsy vans, solar cars and beautiful beach lofts. You can also bring your own tent or campervan. The site offers all kinds of workshops and skills sharing activities including baking pizza on the campfire, yoga, creativity workshops, eating together, sports, games and much more.

Zwier

Zwier is the place to go if you want to escape the daily grind and refresh. The site is located in Vinkeveense Plassen surrounded by beautiful nature and just 15 minutes of drive from Amsterdam. 

Zwier offers a wide range of accommodation, so you can choose between an island hut, a harbour house, Pakschuyt (a gorgeous 20m long old boat) and bell tents.

As well, you can enjoy different types of activities such as sailing, canoeing and supping. This site is a perfect place to relax and recharge and you can bring along your dog with you.

East Nomads
