Southern California is heaven for glamping. The whole State of California is a homeland to some of the most famous national and state parks, stunning mountains, wonderful desserts and one of the most beautiful coast highways to drive by. Just because California is such a large state and offers many amazing glamping spots, to make this article more short I have decided to focus more on Southern California glamping.

Where to go Glamping in Southern California?

Southern California is known for its sunny weather and a beautiful Pacific coast. If you are into cityscaping, deserts, mountains or a coast Southern California has something for everyone.

The coastal region of Southern California is highly populated and features coastal valleys and mountains with Orange County and counties of San Diego, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. This region is the home to some of the best surfing spots near San Diego, Balboa Park, Hollywood movies studios, Griffith Park and some high-end homes and stores.

The desert region is located in the southeast of California with incredible parklands to explore, including Death Valley, Joshua Tree and Anza-Borrego.

Death Valley National Park is the hottest place in California and stretches on 3 million acres of true wilderness with hundreds of miles of backcountry roads. Death Valley has a great variety of terrain, historic sites, vibrant wildflowers, unique animals and scenic landscapes.

Joshua Tree National Park is named after the unique Joshua trees that grow there and is a great place for outdoor adventurers who are into hiking, wildflower watching and off-road adventures.

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is California’s largest state park with around 500 miles of dirt roads and a great amount of wilderness areas and hiking trails. It is a home to the hundreds of species of birds and unique springtime wildflowers.

California’s Desert region is known for warm winters and high summer temperatures which makes it a perfect spot for glamping all year round.
